Our accomodation and means of transport for 3 years is a First 30, equipped for offshore sailing.
It is 9m long with a draft of 1m70. It is a solid, very "sealy" and safe boat which have a tour of the Atlantic Ocean at his credit.
SECURITY
The seamaps are received on a computer via the SSB radio.
The Mer-veille allow us to detect the radars of the other boats. In case of serious problem we have a transmitter of distress signal and a life raft.
COMFORT
The limited space offered by the cabin requires organization and order, even for two people. So we have installed many closets and have vied in shrewdness to make easy life on board. |
NAVIGATION
We have a GPS and a sextant as reinforcements.
We are assisted by a speed regulator and an autopilot.
ENERGY AND WATER
Two solar panels and the engine alternator provide us electricity.
A storage capacity of 300 liters of water allow us to last for long crossings.
Cooking appliances are supplied with gas.
